Clash of Clans releases a brand new troop capable of both attacking and healing – The Apprentice Warden. It is the lesser counterpart of the hero Grand Warden and shares similar traits. From the CGI reveal trailer we can understand that the troop is training under Grand Warden and is yet to reach their full potential. Nonetheless, they can be a great troop choice and a viable substitute for the Healer. We will go into the details regarding the troop but first take a look at the trailer.
Apprentice Warden All Details
- Apprentice Warden unlocks at Town Hall 13 by levelling up the Dark Barracks to Level 10. The Dark Barracks consume 13 million Elixirs and takes a total of 13 days for the upgrade.
- At its base level, the attack damage is 170, healing rate is 24% and the HP is 1500. At max level (Lvl 4) the stats increase: damage 215, healing rate 30% and HP up to 1950.
- The troop can be upgraded via laboratory at Townhall 13, 14 and 15 respectively up to Level 4. The first second and third upgrade costs 180k, 315k and 340k Dark Elixirs respectively.
- It can attack any building from a distant range, one target at a time. It acquires 20 housing space and boasts 20 movement speed. It takes 4 minutes for each troop to train and it provides healing to troops within a surrounding radius of 7 tiles.
- There is no limitation to the maximum healing power of the troops. It can continue to heal other units as long as it is on the field.
- The healing power of the Apprentice Warden does not stack so one unit is going to provide the same amount of heal as 5 or more units.
- It can be useful to the CC troops while defending an attack as it can boost their HP by constantly healing them. So, it can be wise to include at least one such troop inside the clan castle.
- The unit is strictly a ground troop unlike their hero version Grand Warden. So, it is vulnerable to ground defenses and should be used accordingly.
- The Grand Warden might summon multiple Apprentice Wardens on activation of it’s ability, resembling the Barbarian King and the Archer Queen. But, it is only a speculation.
- They can jump across walls like the Hog Rider.
Additional Updates
- The game will feature a new interface while viewing and selecting Hero skins. It will also put out 4 new hero skins (One for each of the heroes), and one new War Scenery that the players can purchase with Clan War League Medals. The Hero skins will cost 2000 medals each while the Scenery’s price is 2400 medals.
- The update will see the arrival of a new super troop called the Super Hog Rider. It will be available once you reach Town Hall level 13 and have your Hog Rider upgraded up to level 10. When it’s beaten, the hog and its rider will separately attack as two different troops.
- There will be several buffs and nerfs along with various quality of life changes in the update as well.
