Counter-Strike 2 streamer discovers Wall Hack with in-game console commands

Wall Hack in Counter-Strike 2

Yes, you read it right, you can literally turn on Wall Hack in Counter-Strike (CS) 2. The revolutionary first-person shooter (FPS) title, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) has been rebranded.

With the help of the new Source 2.0 engine, the FPS title has been renewed into a new version. In Counter-Strike 2, most mechanics of the game remained the same. But this bizarre console command makes the game most unique, even among its own franchise.

Valve forgets to turn off Wall Hacks in Counter-Strike 2?

Anybody following the esports scene of CS: GO, will know what taboo Wall Hack is. Irrespective of games, hacking in an online multiplayer title, let alone an esports title is always frowned upon.

Wall Hack or in fact any sort of hack has been plaguing the CS: GO community for a decade already. In this long time, there is little Valve did to tackle the issue even. But with the release of Counter-Strike 2, Valve promised to tackle the issue very efficiently.

With the release of the closed beta testing phase, a few selective players among the huge community had to opportunity to enroll for the testing of CS 2. Number of players being so limited, there is so much that many of us do not even know.

For example, there are a lot of CS: GO commands that do not work in CS 2. But there is one command that a certain streamer named Erik “fl0m” Flom came across that literally blew away my mind.

During his stream, he found out that typing a certain command in the in-game console of CS 2 literally enables Wal Hack. In the above footage, you can see that typing the following command enables the hitboxes of enemies on his screen.

As bizarre as it is, he promises that the issue has been raised to the officials (Valve) and it will hopefully be removed from the command chain so that nobody can abuse this in competitive matches. It goes without saying that removing this command is extremely important for the integrity of the esports community.

Otherwise, hackers would be much more encouraged to exploit these facets of the game engine in their favor.
