Crimson Desert: Leak claims Q1 2025 release date; Gamescom 2024 demo preview
News about Crimson Desert, the long-awaited action RPG from Pearl Abyss, has been elusive. Originally planned as a Black Desert Online prequel, it’s now a standalone adventure set in the harsh yet hauntingly beautiful world of Pywel. We still don’t have an official release date, but rumours are swirling about a playable demo at Gamescom 2024 happening this summer!
Why This Demo Matters
This potential Gamescom demo would be a game-changer. You could dive into the open world, explore character progression mechanics, and test out the combat system firsthand. Remember those delays that pushed back the original Winter 2021 target? New whispers suggest a release sometime in early 2025 (Q1, to be exact). A playable demo at Gamescom 2024 would be the perfect way to build pre-release hype and get valuable feedback from gamers before launch.

- Crimson Desert promises an epic adventure. You’ll play Macduff, a mercenary captain leading a band of survivors in the unforgiving lands of Pywel. The combat promises to be diverse, with melee weapons for brawls, grappling hooks to conquer vertical spaces, and horseback archery to dominate from afar.
- The world is teeming with activities. Hunt down ferocious monsters, uncover hidden secrets through side quests, gather resources for crafting, and even forge bonds with animal companions who fight by your side. Plus, there’s a unique feature that allows you to build and manage your own mercenary company, potentially influencing the world around you in exciting ways.
Gamescom 2024
With Gamescom just around the corner, Crimson Desert fans are glued to their news feeds. While the demo rumours might just be that – rumours – the idea of exploring Pywel is undeniably exciting. Even if there’s no demo announcement, Gamescom could still bring news about the game’s development progress or a confirmed release date.
Crimson Desert’s rich world, deep RPG elements, and dynamic combat system have captured the imaginations of many gamers. With a potential Q1 2025 release window, Gamescom 2024 could be a huge moment for the title. Here’s to hoping we finally get a chance to experience Pywel firsthand and fuel the anticipation even further!
