Cyberpunk 2077 Will Not Offer Pre-Order Bonuses
Do you still doubt the integrity of the CD Projekt Red studio? Here is a new reason that leads us to believe that the developers have understood too much the stakes of the videogame scene. Once again confirming their status as a studious student, we learn that Cyberpunk 2077 will not offer any advantages related to pre-orders.
No micro-transactions, no experience boost, and no pre-order bonus. This is the policy that CD Projekt Red has indeed decided to lead for their future triple-A game, Cyberpunk 2077. The information comes directly from an exchange between a user and developers of the game on facebook messenger, shared later on Reddit. In the end, why be simple when it can be complicated? To the question “Does pre-ordering the game give us access to pre-order bonuses, like in-game assets, armor, money or weapons?” CD Projekt Red answers:
No, we do not do that. Everyone who buys the game will get exactly the same content. It does not matter whether it is bought for pre-order, the day of its release or two years later.
This should reassure many people about the principles of CD Projekt Red. The move towards such a choice is a wise decision and mainly appreciated. A concrete way to avoid controversy and heal their image, so far highly respected.
Cyberpunk 2077 is expected for April 16, 2020, on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
