Destiny 2: More DLC To Come After Sony’s Acquisition

BY JC Paredes 4 years AGO 3 MIN READ

There’s little doubt that the video game industry has been rocked to its core in recent months. Just after Microsoft announced its purchase of Activision for $67 billion, Sony announced its own acquisition of Bungie, the developer of Destiny 2. This unexpected attention also allows Bungie to show off the future of its multiplayer game.

The Acquisition

It is important to remember that the acquisition of Bungie by Sony will have no effect on the gameplay of Destiny 2. Even after breaking the announcement, Sony aimed to reassure everyone by stating that Bungie’s titles will remain cross-platform. Players will still be able to play Destiny 2 not just on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5, but also on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

The Witch Queen

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, the game’s next big addition, will be released on February 22nd. Just in time for the release of Horizon: Forbidden West and Elden Ring! Players can look forward to a brand-new gaming experience on PCs, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia when this brand-new content launches.

Consequently, the Guardians will be sent to other worlds, where they will face new enemies. Not only that, but this new addition will allow players to mix modifications and skins. This gives players a chance to get unique stats, boost their power level. Even gain access to entirely new weapons!

Savathûn

In order for the Guardians to defeat Savathûn, the main antagonist of the Witch Queen expansion, they will require advanced weaponry. You may develop your own weapons and even add a few beginning with Grand Opening a unique suppressor that charges and discharges missiles in automated mode, as well as Parasite which projects worms on its targets, and Osteo Striga which shoots bone fragments.

Toxic explosions are the result of a volley of projectiles fired by the latter. The Glaives which are melee weapons unique to each class are, of course, the centerpiece of this expansion. The Titan Glaive is a shield whereas the Warlock Glaive is a healing turret that may be placed on the ground. Lightning tracer is released by the Hunter Glaive.
