The Filipino actress and singer was supposed to host the event. However, Karen Bordador replaced her at the last minute. Initially, the reason behind this decision remained unclear. But now, there are some hints, thanks to a vlog posted by Fulgar herself. As a result, fans have come up with their own theories. In an emotional vlog, Kristel Fulgar addressed her grievances after being replaced as the host of Seo In Guk’s fan meeting in Manila. The 28-year-old Filipina media personality opened up on the sequence of events that led to her removal in a teary-eyed video.
Kristel revealed that she had been fully prepared to take on the hosting duties for the event. Notably, this was her first hosting gig. She said that she was at the rehearsal on time at 7 AM. Later, the Korean technical director informed her about her removal.
From her words, it seems that Kristel Fulgar’s hosting skills did not live up to the organizers’ expectations. However, the singer claims that she does not give her 100% in rehearsals and that it would not be an issue in the main event.
Furthermore, the selling point of her hosting the fanmeet was her long-standing love for Seo In Guk for more than a decade’s time. She was hoping to use the opportunity to connect with other fans as this mattered more to her than emceeing.

Fans began to circulate rumors on social media that the decision to replace Kristel Fulgar was already decided. They claim that the organizers waited until the last minute simply to use Fulgar’s name to promote the event and generate some buzz among Seo In Guk’s fans.

Others went a little over the top as they came up with wild theories. Some suggested that the Korean technical director who removed Kristel Fulgar knew Karen Bordador personally. Slowly, the new host’s name began to be dragged into unnecessary opinions online.

After receiving hate messages from all corners, actress-TV host Karen Bordador decided to break her silence on social media. She tweeted that she had experienced a barrage of mean and baseless irrational hate for her involvement in the fan meeting.

While Karen did not mention her by name, people understood that the comments against her were for replacing Kristel Fulgar. Others came in support of Karen as they appreciated her skills for hosting such an event without any preparation at the last minute.

Seo In Guk‘s fanmeeting took place on August 12 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City. While Kristel Fulgar’s removal left her and her fans disappointed, she still got an opportunity to take a picture with the Korean actor.
