With just a few days left before Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits the theaters, Marvel drops the final trailer for the most-anticipated MCU movie this year. The previous trailers had already teased the introduction of Marvel’s Illuminati. But, in the latest one, they finally confirmed its existence in the movie.
It was a scene featuring Baron Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) where he told Doctor Strange that “Stephen Strange, the Illuminati will see you now”.
Well, I guess that answers all of our questions! With the confirmation of the Illuminati, it’s already even better than expected.
What is the Illuminati?
The Illuminati is a group of Marvel’s smartest and strongest superheroes who work underground. The notable members of this secret organization are Iron Man, Reed Richards (also known as Mr. Fantastic), Namor, Black Bolt, Professor X, and even Doctor Strange.
Aside from the Illuminati, another seemingly familiar character may return to the big screen.
- The latest trailer gave away some of the most intriguing and exciting hidden details of what’s coming next. One thing that caught the eye of the viewers is the appearance of Captain America’s shield. The only thing is, it is embedded with the Union Flag of the United Kingdom.
- Fans are saying this could be Captain Carter (Peggy Carter), which was introduced in a What If…? episode “What if… Captain Carter Were the First Avenger?”. Could this really be Peggy Carter as Captain Britain?
