Does MrBeast have Cancer? Why is He Bald?
One of YouTube’s biggest stars, MrBeast, was recently seen with no hair. However, there was no official announcement from MrBeast himself about his new hairstyle. A lot of the YouTube star’s viewers were worried: does MrBeast have cancer and why is he bald? Read on to find out more.
Why is MrBeast bald? Is it because of cancer?
Since MrBeast started sporting that new hairstyle, his viewers were worried about his health. Just a few weeks ago, the Minecraft community lost one of its beloved YouTube creators to cancer. So it’s perfectly understandable why some fans of MrBeast jumped to conclusions.

However, the reason behind MrBeast’s new hairstyle has nothing to do with his health.. kind of. But to put MrBeast fans at ease, the beloved YouTube star is not suffering from anything serious like cancer.

The reason MrBeast is bald is not because of cancer, no. It’s because he lost a challenge where he needed to fast for thirty consecutive days. So if you’re one of his fans that were sincerely worried about his health, you can relax now.
Knowing MrBeast, he really goes to the extreme. From the generous prize pools he has for his competitions to taking on challenges like the 30-day fast one, MrBeast truly is a beast (get it?).
But exactly what challenge did he fail? And why was the punishment for him failing the challenge to shave off his hair?
MrBeast fails his “I Didn’t Eat Food For 30 Days” challenge
In a video uploaded to his YouTube account last July 2, 2022, MrBeast revealed that he would be taking part in a fasting challenge. During the challenge, he is not allowed to eat food for thirty days.
But in the event that he fails to complete this challenge, MrBeast gave Chris permission to shave off all his hair. So that’s what Chris did and now, MrBeast is sporting a bald head.

At first, MrBeast is successful with the fasting challenge. He managed to not eat food for over 14 days but eventually, he couldn’t stay away from food any longer. To be fair with MrBeast, he made videos throughout the duration of the challenge.

One of the videos he filmed during the challenge was building a real-life Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory. In this video, he also meets with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.
And we really can’t blame MrBeast for failing the challenge, especially if you have Gordon Ramsay cooking for you. Plus, if you went 14 days without food and were surrounded with the smell of chocolate, it’s only a matter of time before you gave in.

Not cancer, but Crohn’s Disease
Although MrBeast did not complete the thirty days needed, he lost nearly 18 lbs in the two weeks he fasted. From 220 lbs, MrBeast is now down to 202 lbs. And even though this is an amazing feat for MrBeast, he also revealed in the video that he suffers from Crohn’s Disease, an inflammatory bowel disease.
He also added that this is ultimately the reason why he took on the 30-day fasting challenge. The challenge helped in reducing the inflammation of his guts so it’s really a win-win. And to add to that, he gets to try out a new hairstyle!
Hopefully, this clears up the air on some rumors about MrBeast having cancer.
