Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be in the shoes of a billionaire tycoon with a knack for sending rockets into space? Well then, it’s time to check out this indie management game that allows you to build your space corporation! Polish indie developers and publishers Pineapple Works and Mesote Games have teamed up to bring EarthX to the Nintendo Switch. Here is everything you need to know about the next management game you’ll spend hours on once it’s released!
EarthX is the next management game you need to get your hands on ASAP
According to the team behind the game, EarthX is inspired by none other than the world’s richest man, Elon Musk. The team revealed that they were inspired by SpaceX, Musk’s company that aims to colonize Mars and bring down the costs when traveling to and from outer space.
In other words, EarthX is basically an Elon Musk simulator. Well, minus the wanting to square off with Meta CEO and owner Mark Zuckerberg. The game sits you down in the position of the company owner & CEO responsible for launching rockets and eventually colonizing Mars, just like Elon’s vision for SpaceX.

Here are some of the key features you wouldn’t want to miss out on once EarthX arrives on the Nintendo Switch:
- The highlight of the game is being able to launch rockets to and from space! There also comes a challenge of your rockets not exploding once they enter Earth’s orbit.
- Explore the Earth’s neighboring planets. In EarthX, you can even build your own base on the Moon. Of course, since Elon Musk’s extraterrestrial ventures have inspired the game, you have the ability to colonize and terraform Mars.
- Dreaming to work with NASA or the International Space Station? Make it all come true with EarthX! In the game, you work directly with this organization as you resupply them with whatever they need.
Launch a lot of rockets in this upcoming Nintendo Switch game from Pineapple Works and Mesote Games
The idea of managing a spaceflight company might be scary for some, but trust us when we say that EarthX is a laidback game. Similar to other management games, you start with a small budget. From there, you build your space empire and slowly launch more and more rockets out of Earth’s atmosphere.

- It is also considered a strategy game since you have to consider a lot of factors before launching your rockets. You must ensure that they are up to par and they won’t explode before or after entering Earth.
- If being strategic isn’t your thing and you just want to relax, there is also the option to play in sandbox mode. Here, you can spend less time worrying about the nitty-gritty of running a spaceflight company.
- Take things at your own pace and avoid the pressures of being the owner and CEO of your own company.
Is EarthX worth it?
Before the Nintendo Switch port will be released on July 12, 2023, the game had already been in Early Access on Steam. The game has received mostly positive reviews from critics and gamers alike. Even though it’s a management game, most reviews on EarthX’s official Steam page claim it is relaxing and fun.

With that being said, players should avoid expecting this title to be something similar to Kerbal Space Program. EarthX is worth it for gamers who want to try getting into management games that involve space exploration and rockets.
Although the game has been in Early Access for over four years now, the devs are constantly churning out updates. With the Nintendo Switch release coming, they will definitely make sure to keep the gaming experience pleasant for players on either PC or the Switch.
You can get it from the Nintendo eShop for only $19.99! Click on this link to easily find the game and learn more about it.
