Epic Games Planning A Fortnite Movie

Moving beyond the gaming scenario, Epic Games is planning to expand its horizons in the entertainment arena. Reportedly, Epic Games is planning a Fortnite movie!

As reported on TheInformation, Epic is planning to launch an entertainment division that will be dealing with the “scripted video programming business”. Mathew Olson reported that as part of this push into the scripted video business, a Fortnite movie has already been discussed.

Fortnite: The Movie

This might signify Epic’s attempt at expanding its market reach. Just recently, their ability to expand in the mobile gaming market had a hiccup, courtesy of Apple.

• Whether or not the movie is a sure thing is still unknown. However, if it pushes through, it would be very interesting to see what aspects of the game would be in the movie.
• Fortnite has a pool of crossovers. So they might also imply this aspect of the game to the movie. Apart from this, it will be interesting to know about the plot of the movie itself.
• Another interesting aspect is the cast or the voice-actors. Just recently, the news of a Super Mario Movie remake with a celebrity cast caused mixed reactions from fans.
• With a load of crossover characters in Fortnite from recent movies from Marvel, DC, and others, it would be interesting to see if any of the actors who play them in the movies appear in the Fortnite movie.
