ESPN’s Pat McAfee calls his boss a “rat” | Here’s why

Jeffrey Epstein’s list, Katt Williams’ interview, aliens in Miami, and now … Pat McAfee? The NFL player-turned-sports analyst just recently made headlines after calling out one of his bosses at ESPN during an episode of the Pat McAfee Show.

Pat McAfee goes ballistic at one of ESPN’s executives

On an episode of The Pat McAfee Show, former Pro Bowl punter, Pat McAfee, addressed the false reports regarding the show’s current situation, viewership, and ratings. Known for his WWE-style hosting, the sports mogul believes that some of his naysayers lurk within ESPN. While talking to co-host AJ Hawk, McAfee shockingly dropped a huge name in the sports industry – ESPN’s Executive Senior Vice President and Head of Event and Studio Production, Norby Williamson.

McAfee accused Williamson of trying to “sabotage” the show and even labeled him as a “rat”.

“There are folks actively trying to sabotage us from within ESPN. More specifically, I believe Norby Williamson is the guy attempting to sabotage our program. I’m not 100% sure — that is just seemingly the only human that has information”, McAfee said.

“And then are we just going to combat that from a rat every single time?”, he added.

This all started after a hot article was made by The New York Post’s Andrew Marchand on Tuesday. Marchand’s report showed that the Pat McAfee show’s ratings have been dropping since it first began in May 2023. However, this would later be proven wrong after the very network that multicast McAfee’s show, ESPN, revealed that it’s actually doing pretty well in the noon-2 PM window. Although it’s still behind other programs, McAfee’s project is incredibly going great according to the increase of viewership in TikTok, YouTube, and all ESPN platforms.

This led to the event where Pat McAfee called out Norby Williamson for leaking the inaccurate ratings to destroy him and his show. The sports commentator believes that Williamson is the only guy who has this kind of stat and even has the motive to do so. McAfee said he and Williamson have “zero respect” for each other.

What’s next for Pat McAfee?

McAfee is arguably one of the biggest sports personalities today. He was a talented NFL player who’s even Hall-of-Fame worthy and he is also an excellent analyst. However, after calling out an ESPN executive live on air and even labeling that same person with derogatory remarks, it’s still unknown what’s going to happen to McAfee and his show. Earlier this week, McAfee and Aaron Rodgers went viral after the latter egged on Jimmy Kimmel by accusing the talk show host of being connected to Jeffrey Epstein.

Although The Pat McAfee Show is doing great, his fans believe it would be better if McAfee returns to being his own boss, rather than being under ESPN.
