Everything to know about Shroud and Splash Damage’s Project Astrid

A new AAA open-world survival game is under development by Splash Damage, in association with Shroud and Sacriel. This title is currently being called Project Astrid and is envisioned to be a massive multiplayer offering.

Even though Project Astrid’s existence has been confirmed by Shroud, not much has been shared regarding it. However, a lot of information about the game has come from other streamers.

Project Astrid is one of Shroud’s biggest dreams

Splash Damage is known for creating Batman: Arkham Origins, which is considered one of the best in the Arkham trilogy. Currently, the team is working on Transformers: Reactivate, which will be a multiplayer action game coming in 2023. With talented developers, it would be exciting to see what Project Astrid will be bringing for gamers around the world.

Since both Sacriel and Shroud are gamers, they envisioned building a game that would satisfy every player around the world. This vision seems to be coming true as they confirmed their collaboration with Splash Damage.

Micheal “Shroud” Grzesiek said the following regarding Project Astrid, “This project means everything to me. Chris and I have refined a vision for what’s next in the survival genre and with Splash Damage we’re setting out to build it.”

Chris “Sacriel” Ball said the following, “Mike and I have been envisioning a world where we help build the game that streamers and gamers love playing. To be able to execute with a team as esteemed and experienced as Splash Damage is a privilege.”

The team wanted to build the best survival game ever, which would inculcate every good thing from many other games. Splash Damage is actively taking feedback from both Shroud and Sacriel to make Project Astrid feel at home to every gamer. The streamers promised to give more updates regarding the game in the future, so patience is advised.
