Chapter 3 Season 2 introduced Ascenders, a new sort of tool in Fortnite. Ascenders are a feature integrated into the map that allows Fortnite players to reach the high ground without having to build. Let’s take a look at what a Fortnite Ascender is, how to use one, and where you can find one.
A vertical zipline is what a Fortnite Ascender is. Ascenders, like Fortnite ziplines, so you may get to hard-to-reach areas. Ascenders are fixed locations on the map that you can’t use or place down on your own.

An Ascender may lift you from ground level to an elevated location. To fast descend from high ground, you can slide down an Ascender.
In No-Build Battle Royale and events like the Fortnite Zero Build Trials, Fortnite Ascenders are very useful. It’s considerably more difficult to reach particular areas of the island or descend from a high vantage point if there are no structures.
It’s really easy to use an Ascender. Simply approach and interact with the Ascender. If you’re already at the top of an Ascender, you’ll glide down it.
