Fortnite: Echo’s Unreal Engine 5 Demo Skin Now Available
Another new skin has been released for Fortnite, and this time it is not a familiar face. Epic Games, in the Unreal Engine 5 reveal demo on PS5 last year, featured a lady traveling through ancient caves and ruins. This previously unnamed character has now made her entrance into Fortnite as Windwalker Echo.
- The Windwalker Echo skin is available for a limited time, and just on its own! No back bling, pickaxes, or dances, as is common for Fortnite cosmetic bundles.
- The tattoos on Echo’s arm will light up when players open loot chests; similar to the way she activates her magical abilities in the Unreal Engine 5 tech demo.
- The skin costs a moderate 800 V bucks, equivalent to about 7 USD. It is one of the cheaper Fortnite skins, as it comes along.
- While she appears without anything else to add to the cosmetic bundle now, we are yet to see if Epic sees it fit to provide her with accessories.
While this marks Windwalker Echo’s first appearance in over a year, it was said at the time by Epic that the character was just a demo. Making it into Fortnite is an upgrade for her, and the character appears as a smoother, Fortnite-looking version of the demo character we saw. The character should be available in the Fortnite shop for a few days before she is rotated out, so go on and spend your V bucks before time runs out!
