Fortnite Update 3.23, Patch Notes 17.20 – All Details

Exciting news for Fortnite fans as update 17.20 is here and if you are PS4 user, then its update 3.23. This update will be released after a short downtime period today i.e., 20th July 2021. Fans have been waiting for an update for a long time and it seems like this update could be worth it. So, without any further ado, lets dive straight into what’s new for Fortnite fans.

The Saucer

A new vehicle has been introduced in the form of a flying saucer device. The Saucer is the latest piece of advanced tech with four seats, a boost function, a powerful tractor beam that can pick up players and physics objects, and an energy cannon. They can attack opponents and abduct players and props from the map. Saucers are similar to Choppas, with, the ability to descend and ascend, as well as turning off when its pilot exits.

DBNO Device

DBNO stands for Down But Not Out device which can shake enemies down for information, carry them around or yeet them into oblivion. Whether you’re making fast-paced PvP games or hard-fought PvE survival games, you now have a tool to control the action. With this device, you can change the way DNBO works in your game.

Mutator Zone Device

Mutator Zone is a customizable zone that triggers when players enter or leave the area. Creators can use the Mutator Zone device to create gameplay in specific areas. New options have been added to the mutator zone device in the new update which includes Gravity and Movement Multiplier. Gravity can be set to Don’t Override, Very Low, Low, Normal, High, Very High, whereas Movement Multiplier can be set to Don’t Override, 0, 0.2 – 2.0 in increments of 0.1.

Gameplay Fixes

Fortnite

The following important gameplay fixes have been made as well according to the suggestions and needs of fans:

  • Repaired an issue that caused players to encounter an infinite loading screen when flying outside of their Island.
  • Fixed an issue with the camera while steering an ATK.
  • Fixed an issue with the bounce pad when used with the mutator zone.
  • Addressed an issue that prevented players from scrolling up when looking at scoreboards.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from flipping over the X-4 Stormwing and ATK.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Cuddlefish to not stick to players.
  • Repaired an issue where Creatures failed to spawn from the Creature Placer device after placing vehicles.
