So you’ve pulled the cute cat girl and now want to use her in your team. Worry not, here we feature a number of things that you can follow to make her a suitable companion on your journey across Teyvat. Here is the best build for Kirara in Genshin Impact 3.7, including her best weapon, artifacts, and team comps. Let’s get into it!
Genshin Impact 3.7: Kirara’s Pros and Cons
Pros
- The cat girl provides supreme vertical mobility. Using her elemental skill Urgent Neko Parcel, you can easily cruise atop buildings, mountains, or trees. Only the Wanderer can rival her in this department.
- Kirara can serve as a tank by deploying her shield on pressing the elemental skill Meow-teor Kick. The shield’s damage absorption rate directly scales to her max HP. Her shielded state also does a minuscule amount of damage and inflicts Dendro effect on any enemy it hits. She can sometimes act as a healer through her elemental burst Secret Art: Surprise Dispatch.
- The kitty courier can provide buffs to her teammates and be a valued member of a Bloom reaction-centric team. Her abilities also have a relatively lower cooldown rate.
- She is flexible and resonates with any elemental character, as she has a Dendro vision. Depending on the user’s play style, Dendro can cause Aggravate, Bloom, Burgeon, or Quicken reactions.
Cons
- She is mainly a Support character and while you can build her as a DPS, we would recommend upgrading the HP. Doing so would improve her shield, allowing her to last longer in battle and save the whole team from damage and interruptions.
- Kirara is not a good choice for absolute beginners, as her level-up and ascension materials won’t be available until much later in the game.
- The constellation unlocks make her substantially better, so you need to wish for her multiple times to unlock her true potential.
Recommended Stat Priority
The build priority should be in this order:
- HP – Prioritize her health, as her shield’s strength is proportional to the max HP. The shield provides a minimum of 21.25% and a maximum of 34% protection scaling off her HP when her elemental skill attributes are maxed out. At level 90, you should aim for a 35k-40k total HP.
- ER – Next, try to have an Energy Recharge rate of a minimum of 130% if you rely on her Burst. However, we feel a 100% uptime rate is unnecessary as you don’t need to use her Burst every rotation. You can boost her ER stats via weapons and sub-stats instead of the main stats from an artifact.
- Crit Rate/Crit DMG – Try to maintain a ratio of 1:2 with stats like 70% CR and 140% CD. Remember that this is only useful if you plan on using spread reaction and making her close to a DPS. Crit rate should also be helpful as critical hits can generate Dendro particles.
- Attack, Defense, and Physical DMG should require minimum attention. However, you can prioritize EM and Dendro DMG by a bit if you want to.
Best Weapons
5. Sapwood Blade
Lvl 90 stats: 565 Base attack, 30.6% ER rate.
R5: On triggering any Dendro reaction, it generates a leaf. When Kirara picks up the leaf, it provides 120 EM to the on-field character. It can be generated only once per 20 seconds.
For F2P players, you can forge this sword after obtaining the blueprint from an Aranara named Aravinay. If you are building Kirara as a DPS character, this weapon can help boost the ER and maintain uptime for her Burst.
- However, it might be a little overkill if you already have ER from the artifact’s sub-stats and main stats, given her low ER cost.
- On the other hand, the refinement ability can be highly supportive as EM buff to other characters on the generation of the leaf via Dendro reactions.
4. Favonius Sword
Lvl 90 stats: 454 Base attack, 61.3% ER rate.
R5: On max refinement, it allows the generation of elemental particles on Crit hits, granting 6 energy every 6 seconds. Chances are that you already have an R5 version of this weapon, as it is very common from Wishing.
- This sword lets you triple HP your artifacts as it handles all the ER needs.
- Kirara can act as a battery when using this weapon. She will be a great addition to a team with energy hungry characters like Al Haitham, Cyno, and Yae Miko.
3. Sacrificial Sword
Lvl 90 stats: 454 Base attack, 61.3% ER rate.
R5: At the highest refinement, it has an 80% chance to end the Cooldown time of the elemental skill by inflicting damage with the same skill on an enemy. This can happen once every 16 seconds.
- The base statistics are identical to the Favonious Sword. However, thanks to its refinement prowess, it can generate the shield without delay.
- This can be useful if your shield is not too powerful and breaks within a few seconds of deploying.
2. Freedom-Sworn
Lvl 90 stats: 608 base attack, 198 EM.
R5: On refinement level 5, it primarily boosts 10% damage then awards 32% normal, charged, and plunging attack bonus along with a 40% increase in overall attack for 12 seconds when you gain 2 Sigil of Rebellion, each of which can be triggered by elemental reaction every 0.5 seconds. The cooldown time for this effect is 20 seconds.
- Being more common among premium players, Freedom Sworn is a weapon many might not have.
- This one provides excellent buffs to all kinds of attacks, which is a huge deal for the number of DPS characters in your party.
- When giving Kirara this sword, expect her damage numbers to increase significantly. On top of that, it also boosts her EM numbers which is beneficial during elemental reactions.
1. Key of Khaj-Nisut
Lvl 90 stats: 542 base attack, 66.2% HP.
R5: Achieving the highest refinement level increases HP by 40%. Inflicting the elemental effect on enemies further provides 0.24% EM scaled by the max HP. This can be triggered by a gap of 0.3 seconds and stacks up to 3, after which the party members gain 0.4% EM scaled after the equipped character’s HP for 20 seconds.
- Kirara is one of the characters fit for wielding this 5-star weapon. This sword can enhance her shield strength the most.
- Holding her elemental skill while attacking enemies also provides an EM buff for her teammates.
- Unfortunately, obtaining this weapon is hard as it can only be obtained if it is featured on the Weapon Banner.
Artifact Sets
4-piece Deepwood Memories
2-piece bonus: +15% Dendro Damage
4-piece bonus: Reduces opponent’s Dendro Res by 30% for 8 seconds on inflicting elemental damage via skill or burst.
- This set is a must-have for any Dendro-centric team for optimal Dendro damage output.
- Because Kirara is a support character, this set fits her kit perfectly.
- Other DPS members of the party can wear more aggressive sets. This is especially useful if you have a Dendro DPS in your team to cause spread or bloom reactions.
4-piece Noblesse Oblige
2-piece bonus: +20% Damage
4-piece bonus: Upon using Elemental Burst, it increases all party members’ damage by 20% for 12 seconds.
This set is essential if you run a party with Electro elemental-based DPS characters. It would boost the overall damage of an Aggravate reaction. It’s also easy to get 100% uptime on Kirara’s elemental burst. This would help in consistently maintaining the effect of the artifacts.
Team Combinations
Bloom Team
Nilou is an essential character for this team comp alongside a Hydro and Dendro character. Some characters fit for this team are Xingqiu, Barbara, Kaveh, Yelan, Collei, Nahida, and Kokomi.
- Kirara’s shield provides protection from the AoE damage of the Dendro cores and external damages.
- Another Hydro healer alongside Kirara can be cooperative.
- The Hydro characters should be the main DPS and wield high EM, while the Dendro characters should inflict constant elemental effects on the enemies.
- Since off-field Kirara is not ideal for that task, the other Dendro character should be able to handle that. You can also cause constant Dendro damage by being in her cat form.
Aggravate/Quicken Team
This team should have two Electro and one Anemo character alongside Kirara. Some good options are Kuki Shinobu, Yae Miki, Raiden Shogun, Cyno, Kazuha, Fischl, Keqing, Sucrose, Heizou, and Venti.
- Apply Dendro in the beginning and use Electro characters to inflict damage triggering the Quicken reaction.
- Just after one rotation, apply Dendro again to maintain the process.
- Use the Anemo character to amplify the team’s overall damage.
