Genshin Impact Ayaka guide: Best weapons, teams, and more (2023)

Ayaka is one of the best Cryo DPS that Genshin Impact has to offer. She has an insane amount of elemental applicability and damage output. As another rerun featuring the character is on the horizon, now is the time to get a refresher on some of the best weapons and teams that make her a valuable addition to any adventure. 

The daughter of the Kamisato family is modest to her allies, but fearsome to her enemies. She is an extremely potent character in the game and makes the Cryo element shine. 

Best weapons and teams for Ayaka in Genshin Impact in 2023

1) Mistsplitter Reforged

When it comes to weapons, Ayaka has quite a lot of offensive options. Among the notable ones, Mistsplitter Reforged is the best choice as it is her signature 5-star weapon.

The sword offers a high base attack of 674 at level 90. The substat on the weapon clocks a 44.1% Crit Damage, which is essential for any form of DPS unit in the game. The passive is extremely strong and provides a total of 40% Elemental Damage Bonus. As most of her damage is Cryo-infused, she can use the Mistsplitter Reforged to its fullest. 

2) Amenoma Kageuchi

Next up on the list is the Amenoma Kageuchi, which is a craftable option in Genshin Impact. Now, the majority of Ayaka’s damage comes from her Ultimate Ability, which has a high energy cost of 80.

In this segment, a refinement level 5 of the mentioned weapon helps her a lot. It essentially refunds almost half of her ability at max stack, allowing her to deal super consistent damage.

1) Freeze team

Ever since Ayaka’s release in Genshin Impact, Freeze teams have become more viable. Her Elemental Burst can dish out massive damage, which unfortunately cannot Reverse Vape.

Keeping that aside, her Freeze comp includes Diona or Rossaria for the Cryo resonance and energy particles. A Hydro applicator to enable the reaction, such as Xinque, Kokomi, or Mona, is a good choice as well. Lastly, an Anemo unit for resistance shred, most preferably Kazuha or Venti. 

2) Shenhe Freeze team

An expensive version of the first team includes four 5-star characters from the game. Shenhe takes the spot of the second Cryo and she alone is capable of doubling Ayaka’s damage. Kokomi is essential for Hydro and can keep the team alive. Finally, choose Kazuha for the last layer of buffs to almost triple her damage numbers. 

3) Sub DPS team

Ayaka can also be used as a fun Sub DPS for Pyro characters. The common example is the one where she is paired with Diluc, Bennet, and Kazuha. While her burst is applying Cryo on the enemy, Pyro can be used to get the Vaporize multipliers. And on top of that, the team is extremely consistent for nuke showcases or one phasing bosses in the game.
