A brand-new Abyss Lector is now in the game with the Enkanomiya update. Fathomless Flames, an Abyss Lector, shares much of his fellow Abyss Lectors’ characteristics and is now also in alignment with Pyro.

These powerful Abyss Order members were formerly only discovered as Quest Bosses or opponents in the Spiral Abyss. Now that the Enkanomiya region has been available, they can be in a variety of open-world places.
Fathomless Flames
The Abyss Lector: Fathomless Flames fight pattern is similar to that of the Electro Abyss Lector and the Hydro Abyss Herald, although there are a few key differences. Unlike the other two Abyssal opponents, he will not sap your characters’ Energy or increase their cooldowns; instead, his gimmick is to inflict True DMG on your party.

Certain hits will, in fact, brand your entire party with a flaming effect, which will erupt after a short period and do a large amount of damage to your entire party.
This effect is remarkably similar to the Corrosion Status inflicted by Rifthound foes, although it deals damage in a burst rather than over time. However, unlike Corrosion, Brand damage does not reduce your off-field characters’ health below 15%. Even though Brand damage is inescapable, it is possible to dodge the first attacks that inflict the fiery Brand.
- He then unleashes a burst of flames from his body, granting himself a Pyro Shield, after knocking out the Pyro Abyss Lector to roughly one-third of his HP.
- Hydro DMG is the most damaging to the Shield, but the Lector’s Darkfire Furnace can also severely damage it.
- After one of the Lector’s meteor attacks, this totem-like object was on the ground. The Furnace will trigger more eruptions around the battlefield. Considering destroying it will cease this attack and weaken the Abyss Lector’s Shield.
