Genshin Impact version 2.2 was launched over a month ago, which means version 2.3 is about to come out very soon. Yet such is the hype of the game that we have some brand-new information for you regarding not version 2.3, but version 2.4! While Version 2.3 is all set to bring in new characters like Arataki Itto and Gorou, it appears that version 2.4 will bring in a whole new region. Here’s all we know about it.
The Leak
According to new leaks, a new region is all set to arrive with version 2.4 of Genshin Impact. This region was previously believed to be The Chasm but now it seems like Chasm is on hold. Instead, a new region called Enkanomiya will be released, which is supposed to be underwater.
The reliable leaker UBatcha took to his Twitter account to share the leak and joked about how he was wrong regarding The Chasm. So, if this is anything to go by, the region of Enkanomiya will be released before The Chasm.
“Huh I didn’t know chasm was underwater and in Inazuma now… Jokes aside, previously thought the new area to be Chasm but it should actually be Enkanomiya,” tweeted UBatcha.
You might be hyped right now, but the fact is that Genshin Impact 2.4 is still quite far away and might not release until January 2022. Version 2.3 is yet to be launched and might release sometime at the end of November or starting of December. So, following that pattern 2.4 won’t roll out till at least mid-January 2022.
Underwater Enkanomiva Region
Enkanomiya is located near Sangonomiya Shrine and is going to be a massive underwater area. It holds deep significance to the people of Watatsumi Island and it’s also said that the residents of the island emerged from the pool long ago. You’ll be able to see a massive entrance to Enkanomiya below the shrine and swim around in it.
It might be a really massive region which will have a lot for you to explore. Also, there’s a lot of lore surrounding this area, with quests on the island regarding its entry. You may already obtain the Key from the Moon-bathed Deep, which unlocks access to this new area. After The Moon-Bathed Deep quests, it was revealed that Kokomi hasn’t approved the opening of Enkanomiya yet.
