Patch 2.5, called When the Sakura Bloom, just launched, and more information about the update has surfaced. Like most patches, we’ll see the introduction of new banners, weapons, and other content. Additions to the story and events players can enjoy will be available. Here’s what you can expect based on the patch notes:
Banners
- Patch 2.5 will see Yae Miko become a playable character. Her banner called Everbloom Violet will run from Feb 16 – March 8, 2022. It will also have increased drop rates for Thoma, Fischl, and Diona.
- Following her banner will be a double rerun from Mar 8-29, 2022. The first banner, Reign of Serenity, will feature Raiden Shogun. The second banner, Drifting Luminescence, will feature Kokomi.
Weapons
- There will be two new weapons introduced in 2.5, the first being the banner exclusive Kagura’s Verity. It will be available as a part of Epitome Invocation, which will also drop the 5-star sword, Primordial Jade Cutter.
- The Catalyst Oathsworn Eye will be available through the event, the Three Realm Gateway Offering. It is a reward for leveling up the Bokuso Box.
Enemies
The shadowy husks make their appearance in this new version, which has advantages against characters that rely on shields. They generate shields for themselves and allies as they attack shielded characters.
Version 2.5 will also showcase a new weekly boss in the form of Raiden Shogun. It will be a different form of her character, and players will likely have to play through Raiden’s story to unlock it.
Quests and Events
2.5 will see the addition of story quests for Yae Miko and a continuation of Raiden Shogun. Aside from these, there will also be five events, three of which are new ones:
- Three Realms Gateway Offering: An exploration event in Enkanomiya.
- Divine Ingenuity: Create Domains for you and friends to visit in Co-op mode.
- Of Drink A-Dreaming: A bartending mini-game
- Hyakunin Ikki: A rerun of the Domain event
- Overflowing Mastery: A rerun of the Talent Material farming event.
Players can enjoy the new content for a month and a half before the next patch rolls out. We’ll let you know if we get any information on future updates.
