In the world of God of War: Ragnarok, there are plenty of things to do aside from embarking on your journey to stop Odin and survive Ragnarok. One of the things you can do in your spare time is to collect items that tell stories of different individuals in Norse mythology. At the Lake of Nine in God of War: Ragnarok, one of the collectibles is the artifact. There are three artifacts in this location, so keep reading to know where to find them in the realm of Midgard.
All God of War: Ragnarok Artifact locations in Lake of Nine, Midgard
Aside from Legendary Chests and Odin’s Ravens, there are three artifacts found in the Lake of Nine at Midgard. Although these are purely optional for warriors to track down and collect, you will need these if you’re aiming for 100% completion for this area.
You won’t need to scour every last inch of the place to collect all three artifacts. They will be found in the vicinity of each other, but you’ll need to keep an eye out for them. These three collectibles are all Stolen Treasures whose stories are linked to each other. Make sure to pay attention to the dialogue each time Kratos interacts with these items!
1. First Artifact – Janbiya
Look for the golden helmet that has smoke coming out of it. Then, start proceeding south of it until you come across a location blocked by icicles. You won’t need any fancy gimmicks to get to this artifact in God of War: Ragnarok.
When you are in front of the icicles, just destroy them with one of your attacks and then you’ll be able to retrieve the first artifact in the Lake of Nine, Midgard. It is found next to a corpse on the ground.
2. Second Artifact – Kila
As for the second artifact in the Lake of Nine, all you have to do is move east. You won’t be able to get to this location on your sled, so you’ll have to leave your wolves behind. When you come across some ruins and stairs, that means you’re on the right track.
Walk up the stairs and you’ll see another corpse on the ground. Pick up the artifact near the lifeless body and you have the second artifact in this location for God of War: Ragnarok.
An added bonus to this location is if you’ve already finished the game and you rescued Tyr from his prison, you will find him here. But don’t expect the big guy to quickly jump into a conversation with Kratos.
3. Third Artifact – Maya
As for the final artifact in this location, it will also be nearby the previous collectibles. Make your way underneath the bridge of Tyr’s Temple and look for a rock you can climb. If you’re having trouble finding this location, recall the Raider Stronghold entrance during the Animal Instincts favor and you’ll be good to go!
This collectible will also be found in front of a corpse, so keep your eyes peeled for the body on the ground. Don’t worry, you won’t miss it! Once you find it, the final artifact is yours for the taking.
We hope this guide helped you in finding the three God of War: Ragnarok artifacts in the Lake of Nine location! Be sure to look for other collectibles in this area as finding them will give you some great rewards you can use in the long run.
