FFXIV Endwalker: The Hunt For Specimen, How To Unlock

In Final Fantasy 14, there are two guildship Hunt boards: one in Old Sharlayan and the other in Radz-at-Hand. Players can visit these boards and accomplish daily bounties, which reward them with special tokens and experience. Two NPCs can trade Hunt tokens for exclusive items: J’lakshai in Old Sharlayan and Wilmetta in Radz-at-Hand.

The Hunt For Specimen

To get the side quest “Let the Hunt Begin,” players must first travel to the Grand Company Hall.

Complete Let the Hunt Begin Let the Clan Hunt Begin will unlock at The Forgotten Knight in Ishgard.
Complete Let the Clan Hunt Begin Better Bill Hunting and Top Marks in the beautiful landscape FF14 setting Idyllshire will unlock as a result of this.
  • Once those are complete, head back to the Forgotten Knight and grab Elite and Dangerous.
  • Players will also have had to complete the story mission Old Sharlayan New To You.
Now that everything has been unlocked, players can talk to the Diminutive Gleaner in Old Sharlayan, followed by Northota, a nearby NPC. Both Hunt Boards will now be accessible to players.

  • When the player interacts with the board and clicks “Accept,” all five hunting marks will be added to their inventory, allowing them to complete them for rewards.
  • Each bounty is a request to track down a troublesome critter in the area, or a request for a specimen sample from a researcher.

Before a new set of Hunts becomes available, players have until the end of the day to finish them and obtain the tokens. Follow Hunt’s directions to not only locate the monster and defeat it in epic FF14 combat but also to gather the required specimen. Players will be able to access higher-tiered Hunts after reaching level 83.
