How to Drag back in FIFA 21?

FIFA 21 is out next week and this year’s entry has received some quality of life tweaks that improves the game for the better. One of these features includes performing a drag back that is vastly different from the one found in FIFA 20.

If you didn’t know, drag back is a 2 Star move in FIFA 21. It is not an overpowered move like the one found in FIFA 20, rather it’s more realistically balanced this time around. Even the buttons required to perform it has changed.

To perform a drag back, players will have to hold down the L1 and R1 triggers simultaneously (on PS4) or LB and RB(on Xbox One). While doing this they will have to pull down on the left analog stick which in return moves the ball in the opposite direction to that of the player. Once this is done, they can pull down on the left analog stick yet again to flicker the ball in any direction. It can serve as a quick getaway during a nerve-wracking situation.

FIFA 21 launches October 6, 2020, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It’s also coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, the release dates of which are yet to be announced.
