After facing many delays already, Halo Infinite devs 343 Industries aims for an August release for its co-op campaign. In a roadmap update from 343 Industries, they revealed that the long-awaited mode is coming in August this year. However, fans are not too happy about the schedule for Halo Infinite.

Halo Infinite released last year without the online campaign co-op mode

If you’re an avid Halo fan, then you remember the game releasing back in December without the campaign co-op feature. For a game mode essential in any Halo game, it was surprising when it got delayed the first time around.

But other unexpected news from Halo Infinite is its numerous delays.

Season 2 of Halo Infinite also experienced delays until they announced an official release date for the new season. After months of delays, season 2 is coming this May 3 but without the campaign co-op mode.

Players first expected that campaign co-op is dropping alongside season 2 of the game. But in the roadmap, 343 Industries plan on releasing the anticipated game mode in late August instead.

As for Halo Infinite’s local co-op, there are no updates on that yet

If we take a closer look at the roadmap Halo released, they also included Season 3’s release date. At the very bottom of the list, the campaign split-screen co-op is there. However, the roadmap also indicates that the mode’s release date is ‘to be decided’.

Other information included in the roadmap is Season 3 will release on November 8. So what this essentially means is three months after online co-op drops, then we can expect local co-op to arrive in the game.

Despite numerous Halo Infinite delays, 343 Industries are doing their best ‘to deliver more content’

Joseph Staten, Halo Infinite’s head of creative, promised that the team is doing their best in working on the game. However, they still want to prioritize the health of their team, especially during this time. Staten also mentioned that they have a “priority zero” for their team’s health.

“Staying true to priority zero means that sometimes we need to slow down in order to stay healthy and move faster later.”
