Hearthstone to get a New Game Mode Called Hearthstone Battlegrounds

Speculations about Hearthstone getting a new Auto Chess game mode were not without foundation. The game is going to receive a new mode which makes minions fight against one another automatically in alternating rounds of attack and defense. The mode allows players to step into the boots of one of 9 classes, each with their unique hero powers. 8 players step into a ring, with only one player stepping out claiming victory. With minion abilities being a thing, the game adds a lot of unique ideas to the auto-battler genre.

A beta for the mode comes out on November 12, and anyone preordering the Hearthstone: Descent of Dragons expansion on the Battle.net launcher will get early access to the game mode.
