In Helldivers 2, the fight against alien threats is no walk in the park. Even the most skilled Helldivers need all the help they can get. Enter the Guard Dog and Guard Dog Rover, mechanized companions ready to tear through bug hordes. But with two options, which one reigns supreme?

Standard Guard Dog

  • Advantages: More focused fire, less risk of friendly fire, cooldown reduction with “Hand Carts” module.
  • Disadvantages: Requires resupply for frequent activation, less overall damage output.

Guard Dog Rover

  • Advantages: Highly active, high kill potential, effective against bug breaches and automaton drops.
  • Disadvantages: Higher risk of friendly fire, wider attack patterns.

Making the Choice

The “best” Guard Dog depends on your playstyle:

  • Precision Player: Opt for the Standard Guard Dog for focused firepower and reduced friendly fire risk.
  • Damage Dealer: Unleash the Guard Dog Rover for high kill potential and aggressive tactics.
  • Team Synergy: Both can work, but communicate with teammates to avoid friendly fire surprises with the Rover.

Remember:
