Hogwarts Legacy: Dark Arts Battle Arena – How to win?

In Harry Potter, the Dark Arts or Dark Magic isn’t quite recommended for student wizards. However, in Hogwarts Legacy, wizards can freely roam and face enemies in the Dark Arts Battle Arena mode, but how can you win? Unlock this mode, and there should be five waves of enemy battles when you begin in the arena. No worries, we’ll guide you through the battles, and what spells you need to know before entering the arena.

Complete the Dark Arts Battle Arena

As we have mentioned earlier, you need to complete five waves of enemies to win in the Dark Arts Battle Arena mode of Hogwarts Legacy. Of course, all enemies differ and you have to know what you’re facing to prepare yourself.

  • Located in the Forbidden Forest, the Dark Arts Battle Arena allows players to use the Unforgivable Curses. Given that you need them to successfully defeat all the stages of enemies in the battles in this Hogwarts Legacy mode.

  • Each enemy wave has a dueling feat. Dueling Feat considers being a special challenge for players. This appears at the start of a battle with whoever you’re fighting against. We’ll provide the dueling feats for every wave, so read more below.
  • FYI, the Dueling Feats change, so as you play and succeed in this Hogwarts Legacy mode, you can encounter more special challenges to accomplish. The following feats below are just several examples among more feats to complete.

First wave

  • We start with the first wave, maybe you can consider this the easiest. Players have to defeat five (5) enemies in this round.
    • Dueling feat: Finish the battle without using a Wiggenweld Potion

  • Hmm, still a bearable wave for the wizards. You have to fight against another five (5) enemies.
    • Hit a Ranger with Stupefy

Third wave

  • Things get rougher by the time we reach the last wave of enemies in the Dark Arts Battle Arena. In this wave, your enemies triple to 14. So expect a lot of enemies to jump on you and attack you this round.
    • Break a Shield Charm with Ancient Magic Throw
    • Perform 30 dueling combos

Fourth wave

  • Another level with fewer enemies but harder to beat too. Defeat two (2) opponents but this time, two Trolls await you.
    • Hit a troll with its own boulder
    • Use two (2) Protego successfully

Fifth wave

  • For the last wave, you have to take down the most number of enemies. 16 opponents to defeat and then you win the Dark Arts Battle Arena.
    • Hit a Ranger with Stupefy
    • Perform 30 dueling combos
    • Defeat an enemy with a Chinese Chomping Cabbage

Tips to win in Dark Arts in Hogwarts Legacy

Do remember that you will utilize the four Unforgivable Curses: Confringo, Crucio, Imperio, and Avada Kedavra. Ancient Magic, Ancient Magic Throw, and potions can be used to help you in this Hogwarts Legacy mode as well.

  • After each wave, the spells’ cooldowns refresh. Be mindful of your health too, once you get knocked out (KO’d), you need to restart your run in the Dark Arts Battle Arena mode of Hogwarts Legacy.
  • To best utilize the Avada Kedavra spell, you have to acquire the Avada Kedavra Mastery talent. Then, you should inflict cursed spells on your enemies. Once numerous opponents became cursed, throw the Avada Kedavra spell. This kills the main target and all cursed enemies.

How to unlock the Dark Arts Mode?

If you haven’t unlocked this Hogwarts Legacy Dark Arts Battle Arena mode yet, then keep reading here. This Battle Arena lets players test out the dark magic and spells outside Hogwarts.
