X (formerly known as Twitter) users are having a field day after a photo of NBA player Jabari Smith Jr. hugging a beautiful woman quickly went viral. What seemed like an innocent captured moment was flooded with controversy and NSFW comments after many thought that there is something wrong with the picture. The Houston Rockets young power forward was immediately under fire due to the controversial interaction with his alleged sister-in-law. Is this real or is this another piece of fake news?
Is Jabari Smith Jr.’s viral Instagram photo real?
The IG photo is very real. In fact, it was taken just recently. However, this viral image was POSTED by his sister-in-law, Kennedi Brooke, but the woman beside Jabari is his current girlfriend. Some internet users misunderstood the post and thought that the young NBA star was actually being intimate with his brother’s spouse. Thanks to X’s community notice, the context of the image was already given away to the public before the fake news and misinformation went even more viral.

Who is Jabari Smith Jr.’s girlfriend?
Ever since he was drafted, Jabari Smith Jr. has always kept his relationship/s private. He’s always been listed as single with no lady ever being publicly connected to the polarizing basketball player. Last year and even until now, almost nobody knew (at least aside from his family and friends) that the 20-year-old rising star had a girlfriend. But, with his photo going viral, it is now evident that the former LSU standout is in the dating scene. He hasn’t officially revealed who her special someone is, but we thoroughly traced Jabari’s social media accounts and found out who the woman in the viral picture is.
Jabari Smith Jr., a sophomore NBA player, is actually dating a beautiful lady named Jasmine. Aside from her Instagram account, which has the handle @jaebvby, we know nothing more of the tantalizing young woman yet. Although, she looks like a model on Instagram who’s just starting out in her career. Also, some of her pictures feature LSU (Louisiana State University), which may indicate that she’s also from the same school as her boyfriend.
On the other hand, Jabari Smith Jr. is having a good NBA season. So far in the 2023-2024 campaign, he’s averaging 12.7 points and 8.5 rebounds per game while shooting a respectable 35.7% from the three-point land. He’s currently in his second year in Houston and it’s going pretty well for him and the organization. The 2022 3rd overall pick is the son of former NBA player, Jabari Smith Sr., who played 4 seasons in the league and continued his career overseas.
