How did the YouTuber wearing a trash bag sneak into New York Fashion Week?

New York Fashion Week YouTuber trash bag

The semi-annual New York Fashion Week just wrapped up its showcase of the latest trends and styles in the world of high fashion. However, a few unwanted incidents brought the glitz and glamor of the night to a halt. A YouTube prankster named Fred Beyer managed to sneak onto the runway wearing a trash bag and turned heads for all the wrong reasons. Let’s take a look at how he pulled this off, the YouTuber’s previous pranks, and other highlights from the prestigious event.

New York Fashion Week trash bag incident

The incident occurred during an event hosted by Creators Inc., a social media agency known for collaborating with influencers. Fred Beyer decided to crash their party and made his way onto the ramp during New York Fashion Week 2023’s final day.

At first, the YouTuber seemed to fit right in with other models on the runway. While his outfit choice was clearly questionable, members of the audience seemed to believe that this could be a new fashion trend.

Kanye West’s All of the Lights played in the background while the prankster made his way into the crowd. Wearing a torn trash bag, shower cap, and pink shorts, the YouTuber’s outfit hardly seemed out of place in a show that celebrates outrageous fashion.

Fred walked down the ramp with utmost confidence as a security officer chased him down and tackled him. Just as he reached the end of the ramp, the YouTuber’s impromptu runway debut came to a deservingly premature end.

Why did the YouTuber crash the NYFW show?

Fred Beyer needs no introduction to fans of YouTube prank videos. The 21-year-old internet personality boasts over 300k subscribers on his channel. He is best known for pushing the boundaries of acceptable behavior in public places.

In his latest video on the NYFW prank, Fred takes his audience through how he managed to do it. We see how he sneaks past security and even meets one of the event’s organizers, who has had previous issues with him.

Later, he interacts with the guests and participants of the OnlyFans creators’ show and blends in with the crowd. The Florida-based YouTuber truly causes chaos wherever he goes and leaves bystanders in distress.

In one of his older and most popular prank videos, he pulls a fire alarm at a library. In another clip, he goes undercover at a feminist gym, where he pretends to be a woman, and enters the facility.

Protests at New York Fashion Week

The New York Fashion Week event’s controversy did not stop with the YouTuber wearing a trash bag and sneaking in. Animal rights activists (seemingly affiliated with PETA) protested against a show hosted by the Coach brand to condemn the use of leather.

An activist held a sign reading “Coach: Leather Kills” and walked alongside models before being escorted out. Another protester wore nothing but underwear and body paint resembling muscles and flesh for the same cause.
