How to Beat Radahn, Consort of Miquella | Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree
Radahn, Consort of Miquella, is a total nightmare wrapped in holy armor. But hey, who doesn’t love a challenge? With the right gear, a bit of grit, and a whole lot of dodging, you will send this demigod packing.
| To reach Radahn’s location, you’ll need to defeat Messmer and use his Kindling to burn the Sealing Tree, which will transport you to Enir-Ilim. Make your way through Enir-Ilim, overcoming various enemies and obstacles. Near the end of the dungeon, you will face a mini-boss encounter with Miquella’s Followers. Defeating them is necessary to proceed. Continue through the next room and use the elevator. Ascend the stairs to finally reach the boss chamber |
First things first, level up. You want to be hitting at least level 100, maybe even higher, if you’re feeling bold. And don’t forget to upgrade that gear of yours to +9 or +10.
Now, let’s talk weapons. You’ve got a few options, depending on your playstyle:
- Radahn’s got a nasty case of bleed vulnerability. Bring along the Rivers of Blood, Uchigatana, or Eleonora’s Poleblade, and watch him squirm.
- If you prefer brute force, grab a Colossal Sword or Greatsword. Charge those attacks, and let him feel your fury.
- Magic or Faith Fanatic? Spells or incantations that deal holy damage are your best friend, especially in the second phase. Light him up like a holy bonfire.
- If you’re going the incantation route, grab a Sacred Seal or Sacred Relic to amp up that holy power.
Phase 1: The Promised Consort
- Spinning Lunge: This move is a real showstopper, so dodge to the side and pray to the Erdtree.
- Gravity Attacks: Radahn likes to play with gravity. Be ready to jump or roll out of the way when he starts messing with the laws of physics.
- Sword Combos: Don’t be afraid to get up close and personal. Dodge towards him during his combos, get behind him and let him have it.
- Ranged Attacks: Dodge or block, whatever floats your boat.
- Meteor Shower: Think of it as a cosmic game of dodgeball, only with fiery death raining from the sky. Run!
Mimic Tear or another strong spirit ash can be a lifesaver. Let them distract Radahn while you get your hits in. After his combos, that’s your cue to strike. Just don’t get greedy. If you’ve got a bleed weapon, go wild! It’ll make the fight a whole lot easier.
Phase 2: Consort of Miquella
- Holy Explosion: Seriously, run. Don’t even think about trying to tank this one. It’s a one-way ticket to the respawn screen.
- Divine Swords and Holy Projectiles: Dodge, dodge, dodge! Did I mention you need to dodge?
- Lightning Strikes: These are easier to avoid than his other attacks, but don’t let your guard down.
- Teleportation: Oh, joy. Now he’s teleporting all over the place. Keep your eyes peeled and be ready for anything.
Get some talismans or armor that boosts your holy resistance, or you’ll be in for a world of hurt. Radahn’s second phase is all about staying out of his reach and dodging his attacks. Keep those spirit ashes coming. They’re still a major help.
Additional Tips
The Crimsonburst Crystal Tear will give you a much-needed boost in fire resistance. You might not win this fight on your first try or even your second. But keep at it, learn his moves, and eventually, you’ll be the one standing tall.
