Diablo 4 Maiden of Anguish, Andariel boss fight guide
How to summon boss Andariel
Teleport to the waypoint Tarsarak in Kehjistan and head east towards the dungeon named Hanged Man’s Hall. The Altar of Anguish required to summon Andariel lies in this location. This boss can only be summoned if you are playing at World Tier 4. Additionally, you will require two Sandscorched Shackles and Pincushioned Dolls to activate the Altar of Anguish.
Obtain the Sandscorched Shackles by defeating Lord Zir, another World Tier 4 boss found in the Ancient’s Seat dungeon in the Fractured Peaks. Summoning this boss requires Exquisite Blood acquired from participating in the Legion Events.
Once you have the Sandscorched Shackles, look for the next item, the Pincushioned Doll. You can get this item once you defeat the boss Beast in the Ice found in the Glacial Fissure dungeon in the same region as the previous one. Use a Glacial Fissure Nightmare Sigil crafted from Distilled Fear and Sigil Powder to summon the boss.
Make sure that you are well-prepared with the ideal build and powerful gear before heading to the dungeon. Enter the Hanged Man’s Hall dungeon and navigate your way to reach the Wounded Hall. Here, you will find the Altar of Anguish where you can submit all the materials to summon Andariel.
How to prepare yourself for the battle against Andariel
Andariel’s combat mechanics are of different types and require careful dodging and positioning:
- She has mainly three kinds of attacks including fire, poison and entrapment.
- Dodge the charge attacks that Andariel will make from time to time.
- She can launch poison projectiles and lightning balls as well as make seals on the ground causing heavy damage.
Andariel will disappear from the arena causing pillars to emerge from the ground called the Effigies of Anguish. While you are destroying these pillars, you need to avoid the blood beams that can cause significant damage to your character. When Andariel’s health comes down to 50%, fire beams will be launched in the arena towards the center from the pillars.
Equip yourself with defensive gear and focus on those skills that cause high single-target damage. To increase mobility, you may use skills like Teleport, Leap, or Dash to avoid getting hit by the fire beams. Take advantage of Andariel’s stagger bar and stun her to make a successful counter-attack.
The Tormented version of Andariel is level 200 and has deadly attack combinations. You will require six of both Sandscorched Shakles and Pincushioned Dolls as well as 2 Stygian Stones from the Pit to summon Tormented Andariel.
