The latest episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has unleashed a bloody and thrilling confrontation between Yuji Itadori and the Death Painting vessel Choso. This long-anticipated battle in Episode 13 has significantly raised the stakes for both sorcerers and Curse Users, leaving fans on the edge of their seats. Junya Enoki, the voice actor behind Yuji, is keen to emphasize that the excitement is only just beginning, hinting at the riveting battles that await in the Shibuya Incident arc.
There is little doubt that Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will feature a LOT of fights. In the Gege Akutami manga, the Shibuya Incident arc is the first story arc that deals with the extremes in the storyline as an important character is effectively removed by the Curse Users. Still, it’s just the beginning of things to come as some characters, including Yuji Itadori, have yet to realize that the sorcerers have lost their MVP as well as a trusted friend. For Itadori, the stakes aren’t that high just yet and he believes that all he needs to do is to defeat Choso.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 13: Yuji Itadori vs Choso

In this latest installment of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, Choso finally seizes the opportunity to confront Itadori, holding him responsible for the tragic fate of his brothers in the previous season. Choso boasts the upper hand, wielding the formidable Blood Manipulation Technique of the Kamo Clan. However, Itadori, unyielding and resilient, refuses to back down. With the guidance of Mechamaru’s advice, he manages to find a flaw in Choso’s technique and engages in a fierce struggle. The outcome, however, is not in his favor, as Choso still manages to defeat him. But this victory takes an unexpected turn when non-existent memories suddenly flood Choso’s mind, casting a shadow of mystery over the battle’s conclusion.
The fight between Yuji Itadori and Choso might be (almost) over but it’s hardly the biggest thing to look forward to in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. As Junya Enoki points out, there will be more intense fights in the upcoming episodes.

Did Choso Kill Yuji in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 13?
It certainly looks like things are over for Yuji Itadori. After all, Choso landed a potentially fatal blow that would effectively incapacitate any man. But then again, Itadori is not just any man since he is currently the vessel of Ryomen Sukuna, who appeared briefly in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 13.
It’s worth noting that, while Itadori might have been defeated, he is far from being out of the game. Episode 13 of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 concludes with a post-credits scene featuring Suguru Geto‘s companions Nanako and Mimiko approaching Itadori’s unconscious body. Without giving away any spoilers for anime-only viewers, it’s safe to say that their decision to approach him might have dire consequences.

For those eager to catch all the action, the 13th episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is now available on Crunchyroll. The next episode, titled “Sway” (“Yoto”), is scheduled for release on October 26, 2023. With the promise of more intense battles and unfolding mysteries, fans of the series have much to look forward to in the episodes to come.
