League of Legends: Janna Changes, Patch 12.1

In the realm of League of Legends, champion mods are quite frequent. Janna has been struggling for a long time to establish her place in the game’s meta, and it appears that Riot has chosen to offer her a few interesting changes. One of the League of Legends game devs has unveiled Janna’s rework modifications.

Janna Rework

Movement Speed 315 > 330
Attack Damage 46 (+1.5 each level) > 52 (+3 each level)
Attack Range 550 > 500 units
Tailwind (Q)
  • The minimum rank will increase from 1000 to 1100 units
  • The maximum range will go from 1750 to 1760; Damage will increase from 60-16 to 60-180
Howling Gale (W)
  • Range increased from 550 to 650 units; The duration of the slow will be increased from 2 to 3 seconds
  • Passive movement speed will be increased from 6-10% to 8-14%
Zephyr (E)
  • Cooldown will now be 15-9 seconds
  • The time before the shield falls will be increased from 0.75 to 1.25 seconds.

Janna has a long history as one of League of Legends’ most powerful supports. It is not only capable of providing consistent protection for your AD carry, but it is also the best disconnect support in the game. Patch 12.1, which will be the first official patch for Season 12, is likely to bring these adjustments.

The Storm’s Fury

  • Janna was clearly outclassed by champs like Yuumi, who were very recently launched. Yuumi’s fame has skyrocketed in recent weeks, mainly to her participation at Worlds, where she was either cast or banned.
  • With a ban rate of above 40%, it presently boasts the highest in the game. She is without a doubt one of the most irritating League of Legends champions to face.
  • The poor counterplay offered by the bottom lane renders it almost impossible for the opposing side to get back into the game once you get a significant advantage.
