Microsoft reveals Gears 5 now available to pre-order on Steam
Microsoft has announced during Gamescom 2019 that Gears 5 is now available to pre-order on Steam.
In an effort to make its games available to a larger number of gamers, and on PC that means two things: Xbox Game Pass for PC and the release of future Xbox Game Studio titles on PC platforms outside of the Microsoft Store.
However, Microsoft was quick to stress that Gears 5 will not be locked behind Microsoft’s Windows 10 Store. An Xbox Live account will still be required to run the game, however, Xbox Game Pass for PC users will need to utilise the Microsoft Store to run Gears 5.
On Steam, Gears 5 will cost £49.99 and will release on 10 September 10.
