Temtem, an MMORPG from Crema, is finally breaking free from the early access status it’s been in for almost two years now. The newest MMORPG in town came to platforms other than the PC on September 6. This means that Temtem is available on other platforms but that begs the question, does Temtem support cross-play?
If a game is released on different platforms, then it’s only normal for it to enable cross-play features, right? Plus, Temtem is an MMORPG. For a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game, cross-play is a must. Read on to find out more about Temtem and if it supports cross-play.

At the moment, interested gamers can get Temtem on major platforms such as the PlayStation 5, Xbox consoles, and the Nintendo Switch. However, the game is not available on previous-gen consoles such as the PS4 and the Xbox One.
It might have taken the team behind the game some time to get the ball rolling. But it’s great to see that Temtem, one of the up-and-coming MMORPGs this year, is out of early access.
What’s the game all about?
If you’re familiar with Pokemon games and how they always start, then you’re no stranger to Temtem. That’s exactly what Crema is going for in this new MMORPG.
When it was released for Early Access, players were quick to note that the game was shaping up to be a Pokemon clone. However, Crema decided to go in a different direction to prepare for Temtem’s release on different platforms.
At the moment, the game retained some elements inspired by Pokemon games. But what makes Temtem stand out from its inspiration is how it adapted to being the very best that no game ever was. Pun intended, of course.
If we look at Temtem from a general point of view, you do what it is you do in Pokemon. After catching creatures, you have the chance to train them so they can square off against other creatures.
Moreover, it has the same feel as Pokemon since story progression depends on who owns the creature you just defeated.
But like we said, Crema adapted and shaped it into a game of its own. By listening to player feedback over the years, Crema figured they finally perfected the recipe for a great MMORPG.
This might explain why Temtem is now available on platforms aside from the PC.
Does Temtem have a cross-play and cross-progression feature?
What makes an MMORPG great is if you can interact with a diverse population of players. It’s a good thing that the devs behind Temtem have been updating their player base about what their plans are for the game once it leaves Early Access.
Back in May, Temtem devs shed some light on whether the game will have a cross-play feature. And the good news is that you can interact with players on other platforms.
But not only that, there is also cross-progression in Temtem. So if you want to take a break from playing it on your PC, you can boot it up on your Nintendo Switch instead and get comfortable.
So if you’re looking for an alternative to Pokemon, we promise you that Temtem won’t disappoint. Aside from the storyline, the overall gameplay experience Temtem gives players is great.
