There is no better way to enjoy a game than with your friends. Not just online, but through local multiplayer, ergo, couch cooperative. A very fresh platform fighting game, MultiVersus, was released for an open beta experience just a few days ago.
If you are wondering if you can play with your bros in a local multiplayer setup, the answer is YES! In this article, we will be guiding everyone who wants to test their skills against the closest of their friends in a local multiplayer or couch-coop gameplay.
HOW TO PLAY AGAINST YOUR FRIENDS: MULTIVERSUS VIA LOCAL MULTIPLAYER MATCH
Follow these simple steps to begin your local multiplayer journey (scroll down below):
- Press the “PLAY” button on the Main Menu (at the center of the screen)
- Afterward, select the “CUSTOM” option on the top of your screen
- In there, you will see LOCAL PLAY, CREATE ONLINE LOBBY, and JOIN ONLINE LOBBY. Choose LOCAL PLAY.
- Choose your Warner Bros. universe character and begin the battle!
The maximum number of MultiVersus players that can join the match is only four (4) people. You and your friends can go on a tag-team or 2v2 match, or go at each other in an all-out free-for-all battle royale.
But, if you woke up and chose violence, you may challenge one of your friends on a one-on-one duel to see who’s the better MultiVersus player!
MultiVersus is gathering a lot of interest lately. As the game’s popularity rises, so does the number of its players.
Warner Bros. Games and First Player Games teamed up with each other to create a free-to-play platform fighting game similar to the hit Nintendo Super Smash Bros. and Nickelodeon’s All-Star Brawl.
There have already been hundreds of thousands jumping in on the fun and you can be one of them!
- As previously informed by the developers, MultiVersus season 1 will come out on August 8, 2022.
- Currently, the game is still in open beta and players can still enjoy the early stages of the game.
- MultiVersus open beta is available for free on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
- The good news is, that the game will also support cross-play and cross-progression support across all of the mentioned platforms.
- To add, they also announced that any progress the players made in the beta stage will be carried over to the official release.
