The trailer features some everyday fans who enjoy customizing their players or playing out scenarios in NBA 2K games and unfortunately, there’s no actual gameplay footage. Basically, it was more of an announcement trailer that made things official.
The official release date for the game is set to be Friday, 10th September 2021 as is almost here. “Anyone Anywhere can become a legend in #NBA2K22 starting September 10th, 2021”, the tweet from the official Twitter handle read.
Cover Reveals
Many got teasers about the cover multiple times in the past week but now we finally have our cover. The NBA 2K22 cover features Dallas Mavericks All-Star Luka Doncic! This player is very popular among the youth and is an emerging star of the game.
The reveal of the 75th Anniversary Edition cover features Kevin Durant, Dirk Nowitzki, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. It’s an iconic cover that showcases a rising star, a recently retired champ, and an OG of the sport!
Apart from this, NBA 2K is making history in the form of Candace Parker. She becomes the first-ever WNBA star to feature in the cover for the game series.
Availability and Pricing
As mentioned above the game would be available from September 10, 2021, on Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.
The pricing for the Standard Edition of NBA 2K22 is set at $69.99 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, and $59.99 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One. The WNBA 25th Anniversary Special Edition will cost $69.99 and would be released only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. It would be available for GameStop and EB Games, only in North America. The 75th Anniversary Edition would be priced at $99.99 and will contain cross-generation access for customers who buy it on PlayStation or Xbox.
