It has been a few days since Bethesda started tweeting out random pink-themed images on their official twitter profile. And as expected, it didn’t take much time for die hard fans to draw a conclusion. Rage 2 instantly comes to mind, thanks to a Walmart listing which was humorously countered via. a tweet from Rage’s official twitter page minutes later.
A trailer was leaked prior to its official reveal which was supposed to happen today. Twitter user Wario64 tweeted out a GIF with a Youtube link which led to the following video:
The video was pulled shortly after by Bethesda but the GIF in the tweet still remains.
For those without any knowledge, Rage is an open world FPS, Adventure game which follows a silent protagonist by the name of Nicholas Raine(much like the silent protagonist of Half-Life, only a little more hardcore). The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the Earth is laid waste to when an asteroid collides into it. Survivors congregate to form settlements around habitable locations but they are not safe. Amidst the waste land lies bandits and blood thirsty mutants. The first Rage was developed by id software and was released on the 17th of November, 2010.
Bethesda having made no further statements regarding the game or its release date, has left the crowd in a shroud of mystery.
