Nintendo making a SNES-style controller for Switch, FCC filing says
It looks as though Nintendo may be making a Super Nintendo-style wireless controller for its Switch console.
The rumours have come from a recent filing with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission.
The FCC filing shows an image of the back of the wireless device. The silhouette looks like a SNES controller, as well as the model number and FCC ID including the letters HAC, which is used in Nintendo’s model numbers for Switch, its hardware and accessories.

At the moment, Nintendo sells wireless controllers for the Switch based on the design of the NES controller – and are available exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
