Pokemon Go: Rare Pokemon List
In this article, Pokemon Go’s Rare Pokemon list will be discussed. Catching these rare pokemon is always a challenge due to the real-time hours spent hunting and/or hatching these pokemons. Aside from that, these pokemons are among those who are event-locked, region-locked, and/or low spawn rates while all shiny pokemons are considered rare.
These are the Rarest Pokemon List in Pokemon Go
Fossil Pokemon
Archen and Tirtouga
In the past, Fossil pokemons like Kabuto, Omanyte and Aerodactyl, Cranidos, and Shieldon were rare. They became easier to find later on. Now, Archen and Tirtouga, released in January 2020, is among the rare pokemons in the game.

Players can previously hatch these two fossil pokemon on the 7km egg. Now, Archen is only available in the wild. Regardless, a 7km egg hatch does not guarantee that you will get these rare fossils.
Dragon Pokemon
Axew and Goomie
Dragon Pokemons from Unova and Kalos Regions like Gible and Deino were among the hardest pokemons to get a hand on. For now, Axew and Goomy are among those pokemon. You can both find it in the wild or hatch it from a 10km egg. Again, no guarantees on egg hatching.

The Legendary Lake Guardians
Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie
These three Legendary Lake Guardians are among the rarest since they are all raid bosses and region locked. Players can find Uxie in the Asia Pacific, Mesprit in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, and Azelf in USA and Greenland.

Mythical Steel Pokemon
Meltan
Meltan is rare since it requires a mystery box which can normally be obtained thru a transfer between Pokemon Go and Pokemon Let’s Go via Nintendo Switch. A mystery box will be received after the transfer which then can be used to spawn Meltan for 30minutes.

Pancham
Pancham is among the strange eggs or 12km egg hatch Pokemon. Strange eggs are only available after defeating Team Rocket Leaders, Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra. Players reported that the hatch rate for a Pancham is lower than the others which makes it among the rarest.
