Pokemon Snap: New Areas Update, All Details

Pokémon trainers get ready to travel beyond the world you know, as New Pokémon Snap is all set for a new update. According to reports, the new update would bring new areas to explore as well as few new Pokémon to catch. The update is almost around to corner and here’s what we know about it.

Update Announcement and Time

New Pokémon Snap was released just 3 months ago and since then it has become quite popular and surprisingly good. A new update is already on its way and is all set to release on 3^rd August 2021 at 9:00AM (Eastern Time). It would be a free update and is now less than 5 days away. So be ready to update the game at the mentioned time. A trailer announcing and highlighting the update was also revealed by New Pokémon Snap creators. What It Brings Along

The Pokémon Company announced that this update would add 20 new Pokémon to the game. This would take the total creatures in New Pokémon Snap to a whopping tally of 234. New Pokémon like Psyduck and Rockruff can be seen in the trailer. Apart from these two, one can also spot Tropius, Swalot, Feraligatr, Gyarados, and Shroomish. This is very exciting news for fans as more of their favorite Pokémon are being added to the game. Not only do they look incredibly cute, but they will also be useful with their unique abilities.

Keeping that aside, a few new areas will also be introduced for you to explore. The new areas will also allow you to see and photograph Pokémon from the base game in new areas and perspectives.

The three new areas added to the game are as follows:

• Secret Side Path – Your characters will shrink to a tiny size when you explore this area, so the Pokémon you see will look huge. You can also hear their breathing and footsteps in this thrilling area.
• Mightywide River – It is a nurturing water source that provides the whole of Belusylva Island with sustenance. It is a rapid-filled river on Belusylva Island where you can find Pokémon like Psyduck and Tropius
• Barren Badlands – In this area, you can research the badlands of Voluca Island, where dry winds from the desert blow.​ This area has many terrains like geysers and poisonous gas-spewing swamps. You might find Pokémon hiding underground or in the rocky cliffs in this area.
