Poppy Playtime is a survival horror game series developed by MOB Games. It is set in an abandoned toy factory where living toys lurk in the shadows. Chapter 1 of Poppy Playtime introduced the player character and toy monster Huggy Wuggy in the abandoned factory, and Chapter 2 added new areas to explore while introducing Mommy Long Legs. Now, the developers have teased us with the images of Poppy Playtime Chapter 3, in which our beloved Huggy Wuggy is being held by a claw. Poppy Playtime Chapter 3: Teaser Images Revealed

Mob Entertainment tweeted an image of the upcoming Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 on their official handle. Following the tweet, there has been speculation in the Poppy Playtime community because of the new photo.

  • The teaser image displayed a paw holding Huggy Wuggy to the ground. If you think that’s all, no, it isn’t. The image had hidden messages which one can see by increasing the brightness. After you increase the brightness, you can see a sentence written on Huggy Wuggy’s body which reads, “Rejoice in the hour of Joy“
  • Also, viewers can see two bright red dots that appear to be the eyes of an animal.

Even if the hidden message in the image was a nice touch, fans couldn’t help but worry about their favorite blue toy. After taking care of him at the end of Chapter 1, there are no indications that Huggy Wuggy actually passed away due to his injuries. Now that he’s in the teaser image, it has us thinking: will he still be alive in the next chapter?

Is Huggy Wuggy Still Alive in Poppy Playtime Chapter 3?

  • In the image posted by Mob Entertainment, we can see Huggy Wuggy covered in blood and lying on the floor. While many believe that Huggy Wuggy is dead, we are certain that the Huggy Wuggy shown in the teaser image is nothing more than a toy replica of the actual one. We have seen these toy figures of Huggy Wuggy as we go around the previous chapters of Poppy Playtime.
  • We believe that the image hints at a dramatic entry of a new antagonist in the roster of Poppy Playtime Chapter 3. The red dots in the teaser image and the claw resemble a cat’s feature and direct us to only one name, “Candy Cat.”
  • However, this is just a speculation from our side, as no other character fits the feature shown in the image.

Expected Release Date

The developers have yet to announce an official date for the release of Poppy Playtime Chapter 3. However, we have the next trailer for the third chapter coming next week. We are excited to see what this upcoming chapter of Poppy Playtime has for us.
