Rancid Remains Locations, Trophies, How To Beat Easy Guide Valheim

There are undoubtedly some enemies to overcome in order to find the various rewards in the game. Rancid Remains is one of these creatures. These uncommon skeletons are larger than their regular bony predecessors and have poison attacks. Because of their size and green glow, they’re easy to spot!

Rancid Remains

• Rancid Remains are dangerous enemies who will attack you if they see you!
• When confronted head-on, Rancid Remains, like most skeleton creatures, aren’t much of a threat.
• On rare occasions, these foes will wield a mace.
• Inflicts poison damage with each hit.

• 3 Tiers:
  • 0 stars
  • 1 star
  • 2 stars
• Stats
  • HP: 100, 200, 300
  • DMG: 20, 30, 40
  • Poison DMG: 20, 30, 40
• Vulnerable to:
  • Blunt and Fire Damage
• Resistant to:
  • Pierce, Frost, and Poison Damage
• Drops:
  • Bone Fragments (stacks of three, six, and twelve depending on the star tier)
  • Small chance of dropping Rancid Remains trophy.
• Location:
  • Inside Burial Chambers is where you’ll most likely find Rancid Remains.
  • They’ve also been known to appear as part of the Skeleton Surprise event, which occurs when the player kills enough skeletons in the game.

• Item Stands can be used to display all of Valheim’s trophies on the walls.
• Some Valheim trophies can be used as crafting materials, while others cannot. But don’t discard any that can’t! They might come in handy in the future!

Burial Chambers

• Easily found in the Black Forest biome.
• They appear to be small cave-like homes made of rocks.

• When you first walk in, you’ll be confronted with three routes, all of which are hidden behind wooden doors. The routes behind each door, change from time to time.
• The Burial Chambers are pitch-black, so bring a torch!

Defeating Rancid Remains: Tips and Strategies

• Weapon
  • Rancid Remains are naturally vulnerable to blunt weapons!
    • Stagbreaker, Bronze Mace, or even the Torch against them is extremely effective.
• Poison Resistance Mead
  • Have some Poison Resistance Mead on hand in case you get hit by one of their attacks!
