Red Dead Redemption 2 Has No Single-Player DLC And Scheduled Remake
Yesterday, we told you about a leak that had revealed alleged information from a user about Reddit, who presumably knew one of the Rockstar Games environment artists. The leak under examination revealed the imminent arrival of a single-player DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2 and the development of a remake of the first chapter of the game by Rockstar. Unfortunately, however, everything has been denied today.
The user himself who spread these rumors revealed that he had told all this as part of an experiment and nothing of what was said in the previous post was true:
“It was an experiment that I always wanted to do about the diffusion of rumors on video games. I thought about it for a long time and I always wondered how I would do it, and then I saw that Red Dead Online was almost completely ignored, and so it was my starting point. So I thought that since there are a lot of references to aliens in the Red Dead Redemption 2 story I could have started there. I then created a credible story by quoting ‘a friend of mine who works for Rockstar’ (very original, right?). And I added some small details that I think would have made sense, like playing as Arthur. But I kept myself vague, to make room for speculation”.
He then continued on Reddit:
“Actually I expected to be ignored, but the next day I opened Reddit and saw that I had the longest list of notifications I had ever seen. I was really impressed with how my crap has spread so quickly”.
The news, in fact, was transcribed by all the major newspapers of the sector and also many Youtubers made dedicated videos on the issue. This is why the user had to give up and tell the truth, before people had too many expectations, obviously completely false.
