Resident Evil 4 Remake Separate Ways DLC | How Long to Beat

Resident Evil 4 Remake Separate Ways DLC How Long to Beat - Featured

Even those who aren’t hardcore gamers know of Resident Evil 4, one of the classics that changed the survival horror genre. In March 2023, Capcom released the Resident Evil 4 Remake on all major platforms, recreating and introducing many enjoyable features that took us on a trip down memory lane. The Resident Evil 4 Remake just launched the Separate Ways DLC, and already, players are wondering how long it will take to beat the expansion story focusing on Ada Wong. Here’s what you need to know before you witness Resident Evil 4’s story through Ada Wong’s eyes.

How long will it take to beat the Separate Ways DLC for Resident Evil 4 Remake?

Now that the Separate Ways DLC is available for those who own Resident Evil 4 Remake, how long will it take for players to beat the game? The file size for the DLC is around 10-15 GB, depending on which platform you are using. With this, it’s safe to assume that the Separate Ways DLC will take around 4-5 hours to beat. That’s over an hour longer than the game length of the Separate Ways mode released for the OG Resident Evil 4.

  • Depending on your playstyle, it may take longer to beat, especially if you consider yourself a completionist.
  • There is also a chance that the expansion will take you around 7-8 hours to complete if you want to leave no stone unturned.
  • Compared to the base game’s sixteen chapters, the Separate Ways DLC for the Resident Evil 4 Remake features seven chapters you can play through.

The number of chapters in the DLC is pretty decent. It will be a great way for you to immerse yourself in the haunting world of Resident Evil 4, especially since Capcom has improved a few features of Ada Wong.

What’s new in the Separate Ways DLC?

One of the things they have improved is Ada’s Grapple Gun. In the DLC, the gadget gives you more flexibility, allowing you to reach higher places and use it to take down enemies with more style.

Another nice and exciting addition to the DLC is the enemies Ada will face along the way.

  • One of the boss fights you’ll have to deal with in Separate Ways is with U3.
  • In the base game, Leon S. Kennedy never encounters the U3. Players only know about it through Saddler, who affectionately refers to the U3 as It.
  • However, the Separate Ways DLC allows us to see what went on behind the scenes, and it seems Ada Wong is at the receiving end of the U3’s terror.

In Separate Ways, we also see Ada Wong infected with the Plaga. Who knows, it might also reveal how she cures herself… if she ever manages to do so. We’ll let you set out on a wild journey with Ada and her trusty grapple gun so you can find the answer yourself. Remember that this is just an expansion, so the DLC ends around the same time as in the base game.
