Sorry Spidey fans, that tingling must wait for another year. Sony recently announced that they are postponing the super-hyped sequel to the award-winning animated movie, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. The movie which is titled Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse was supposed to be released in October 2022 but was then moved to June 2023. This is already the second time the movie was postponed and hopefully, we finally get to watch it next year.

Do you feel your spider-sense tingling?

As informed, voice actors such as Jake Johnson, Shameikh Moore, and Hailee Steinfeld will be back for the sequel. In addition to that, after being teased in the previous film’s post-credit scene, Oscar Isaac will be officially part of the sequel as Spider-Man 2099.

Sony also planned to make the sequel a two-part movie. The first one will be released next year, while the second part is set to hit the cinemas in 2024 (tentative). With the success of the Spider-Verse and MCU, Marvel seems to not miss.

Even though we will have to wait further, at least we have confirmation for a sequel to the beloved Spider-Man adaptation. Hopefully, we’ll see Miles Morales swing his way in the theaters next year. Aside from the release of the Spider-Verse sequel, Sony will also showcase the debut of “Madame Web” on July 2023. This movie will feature Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades of Grey) and Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria).
