SPOILER ALERT: This article contains spoilers for Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Spider-Man: No Way Home pitted Tom Holland’s Peter Parker against baddies from various universes. The movie, directed by Jon Watts, has restored many iconic villains:

  • Alfred Molina’s Otto Octavius / Doctor Octopus
  • Willem Dafoe’s Norman Osborn / Green Goblin
  • Jamie Foxx’s Max Dillon / Electro
  • Thomas Haden Church’s Flint Marko / Sandman
  • Rhys Ifans’ Curt Connors / Lizard.

However, these aren’t the only villains featured in No Way Home. There are others in the film that you may not have noticed! To find them, go back to the closing minutes of the conflict between the three Peter Parkers and the above-mentioned foes.

  • Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield have both appeared as their respective Spider-Men to assist Holland on his perilous journey.
  • When Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) emerges at the combat scene, reality breaks, and a succession of shimmering silhouettes forms.
  • They’re beings from other realms. Peter Parker then asks Doctor Strange to cast a spell that will make everyone forget that he is Spider-Man, in order to stop them from coming and causing havoc.
Let’s take a look at those shimmering entities from other universes for a bit. Kraven, Scorpion, Rhino, and Black Cat can all be seen if you look closely.

The amusing thing about these cameos is that they might represent a foreshadowing of future appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as a tribute to the universe of Spider-Man in the comics.

What if the studio is working on a sequel to Avengers: Endgame that is just as grandiose, but the climactic conflict is between heroes from separate worlds? Doctor Strange was able to seal the cracks in reality, preventing any more guests from arriving, but… What if they snuck in before the sorcerer finished his task?

I'm passionate about all things gaming, with a keen eye for detail and a knack for uncovering hidden secrets within games. My gaming journey began at a young age, captivated by titles like Resident Evil and Tomb Raider. Today, I enjoy exploring open-world RPGs and MMORPGs, consumed by their lore and crafting theories about their narratives. I'm also drawn to the suspenseful atmosphere of horror games and the intricate narratives of crime-themed titles, bringing a unique perspective to my writing. Beyond gaming, I have a fascination with anything unexplained and chilling, a passion that often spills over into my exploration of horror games. When I'm not engrossed in a virtual world, you can find me curled up and spending time with my adorable doggy sidekick, Teemo. As Managing Editor, I'm committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for our writing team.
