Spider-Man Review Embargo Lifts On September 4: Metacritic
2018 was a disaster for gamers’ wallets and Insomniac’s Spider-Man is a major contributing factor as well. With many top-notch titles releasing for multiple platforms, it has become difficult to keep up with the pace of videogames and their releases.
Insomniac’s Spider-Man is one of the highly anticipated games of late 2018, followed by Red Dead Redemption 2, Black Ops 4, Hitman 2, Shadow of The Tomb Raider and Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey. However, if you believe in the “no pre-order” movement, then here’s your chance to spend your cash smartly.
Like any other PS4-exclusive, Sony will lift Spider-Man’s review embargo before its worldwide release. The embargo lifts on September 4th, exactly three days before launch. The information comes from a Metacritic tweet posted earlier today.
Insomniac Games has been marketing the game relentlessly, putting up skyscraping hoardings and completely remodelling metro trains in New York City. The pre-order figures, as reported, are higher than expected and the reviews seem to be positive.
Sadly, we at Spiel Times didn’t get a review copy and we’ll be reviewing the game only after its global release. Don’t worry, we’ll try our best to push out an original and worthy review.
