The epic third season of The Boys was just recently concluded a few days back. Apart from the news that the superhero satire series is getting extended for another season, Amazon announced the much-awaited The Boys’ spinoff – Gen V.
Gen V will be spearheaded by showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters. Alongside these two are The Boys’ executive producers like Eric Kripke and Seth Rogen among others.

Everything you are going to read in this article is about:
- Plot
- Cast
- Release Date
- The Boys Universe
Plot
A supposed parody of Marvel’s X-Men, Gen V’s story will revolve around peculiar college students. But, these youngsters aren’t your normal bookworms or hippies. They are a bunch of suped-up teens with – of course – blossoming hormones. The school is obviously run by no other than, Vought, the same company responsible for the infamous Compound V. Since this will be a ‘The Boys’ spinoff series, we’re going to expect the gore and debauchery we have experienced from the hands of Kripke and company.
The showrunners of Gen V teased the whole series with the official logline: “Gen V” “is an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It’s part college show, part ‘Hunger Games’ — with all the heart, satire, and raunch of ‘The Boys.’”
From London Thor’s (one of the cast) words, “superheroes, college, what could go wrong?”.
Cast

Gen V will be casting some bright young actors and actresses that have already been in some hi tv shows like “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” and “Bridgerton”. The stars that were featured during the announcement video were:
- Jaz Sinclair (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina)
- Chance Perdomo (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina)
- Lizzie Broadway (Bones), Shelley Conn (Bridgerton)
- Maddie Phillips (Teenage Bounty Hunters)
- London Thor (Shameless)
- Derek Luh (Shining Vale)
- Asa Germann (Caviar)
- Patrick Schwarzenegger (The Staircase)
- Sean Patrick Thomas (Barbershop)
- and Marco Pigossi (Invisible City).

Release Date
As of now, this spinoff is still in development and no official release date has been shared by Amazon Prime Video.
The Boys Universe
The fact that The Boys is getting better each year and that it gets picked up for a fourth season means that this hit series would be around for a long time. Not to mention, their animated series spinoff called The Boys Presents: Diabolical was equally as great as the main storyline. And, with another spinoff (Gen V) which could collide with Butcher and The Boys in the future, this franchise is surely grooming us for bigger things. We are also yet to see more of the supes that haven’t been introduced in the show. Plus, we still can’t get enough of Billy Butcher and Homelander!
