Cyberpunk 2077 was obviously one of the best games shown during this E3 2019. The long-awaited open-world RPG from the creators of The Witcher 3, CD Projekt RED will not be expected until next year but, thanks to Komputer Swiat, today we can learn a little more about the character progression system.
Apparently, the classes will not be fixed. Players will have the opportunity to choose and change skills to adapt to their preferred style of play. When we start the game, we will be able to choose between three different origins, each of which accompanied by its own background and its own starting position. Complete the reward activities in experience points that contribute to the overall level of the player. While no exact number was confirmed as the maximum level obtainable in-game, it can be noted that the player of the demo shown, was at level 18 about halfway through the game, with the enemy character at level 45.
Skills will fall into 12 categories known as Attributes that include Strength, Reflexes, Intelligence, Technology, Fortune and much more. The attributes can be updated by installing different cyberware that will guarantee additional skills. From technological upgrades to combat improvements, personalization of clothing and gadgets. Depending on what you unlock, you can also complete the game without killing anyone.
Each of these abilities and attributes will affect how the player will face the adventure. Certain dialogue options will be available to certain players, unlike others, all dependent on the abilities and attributes of their character.
Even weapons skills will reign supreme. In fact, the more you use a particular weapon in the game, the more you will feel that you are actually improving. The competence of the chosen weapon will in fact increase as it is used, influencing, for example, recoil management, accuracy, and speed of recharging. With the increase of the player’s competence, even the animations of the weapons will change, the reload actions will be faster and more fluid, as well as a real change in their methodology.
Apparently, CD Projekt RED has put the choice of the player in the first position and that’s what makes Cyberpunk 2077 special. The choice of playing styles, design, romanticism and religion options, want to be completely open and chosen at the discretion of the player and his progression in history. The progression system has a number of similarities with that of The Witcher 3, and it is plausible for players to expect a similar experience.
We recall that the release of Cyberpunk 2077 is set for April 16, 2020, on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
